Finalmente è arrivata l'estate.
Cenette sul prato, poi si rincorrono lucciole

quick update

Oh, questo blog è stato lasciato a sè stesso per troppo tempo-
in questi mesi succedono molte cose! In ordine sparso, sto facendo laboratori con i bambini in biblioteca, ho lavorato per la rivista NurAnt e Toupie, sto tenendo un corso di illustrazione a Padova (molto stimolante!) e ovviamente stiamo cercando ogni momento di sole per andare fuori e fare l'orto!

Oh my, this blog has been left alone for too long-
These are busy months! Randomly: i'm doing workshops with children at the local library, i've worked for an italian magazine, "NurAnt" and for a French magazine for kids, "Toupie"; I am holding an illustration course in Padova which is giving me really a lot and of course we're trying to catch every moment of sun to go out and take care of our vegetable garden!

Bologna 2013

 
Queste sono due delle 5 illustrazioni che avevo mandato a Bologna...e che mi andrò a riprendere fra poco! Magari dopo una vita di tentativi prenderò la giuria per sfinimento :)

Here are two of the five illustrations I did for Bologna 2013...I have not been selected and so these works will come home with me after the fair. Oh well! Trying is always worth the effort (at least to get free tickets!)

La storia è quella di quattro bizzarri personaggi che trovano uno strano oggetto e cercano di capire come possono usarlo...n.b. non so come va a finire!

The story is about four friends who find a strange object and have to figure out how to use it. I still don't know how it could end!

Buon anno in ritardo...
Dicembre passato a disegnare per un progetto sul patrimonio Unesco in Italia...questi sono i personaggi del libro!

December came and went, I have been completely absorbed by a project on the Unesco heritage in Italy. These are the two characters in the book.

Tornato da un fine settimana in Friuli, tra il carso e il mare- ho voglia di giocare a fare il collezionista, come fa meravigliosamente Camilla Engman con i suoi esperimenti di pura forma e puro colore.

I just came from a weekend in Friuli, between the mountains and the sea- i'd like to pretend to be a collectionist, like Camilla Engman wonderfully does with her experiments of pure shape and pure colour.
